ABOUT ARTIST & LATEST WORK
I work by the name Vallenssia.
My tools are acrylics, canvases, brushes, spatulas and mixed media. Love textured surfaces as well as details.
I do abstract landscapes and contemporary portraits. I love vibrant colours that would also be a decor in the room.
What I really wish is that observers stop by the painting and allow themselves to take some time and try to understand the emotions of the painting.
The thing that I love about the painting on canvas is that it is always changing, depending on the time of the day, on the sources of light and the room they are hanged in.
"...her skill as a portraitist echoes the finessed intricacies of the Old Masters. Her painted profiles are rendered with a touch akin to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa (1503) or Michelangelo's Libyan Sibyl (1508-1512), with contours and colouring that bring her sitters to life in vibrant detail..."
"...Imperfection creeps in at the edges of her sitter's faces, introducing an element of discomfort akin to the mysterious monsters that lurk in the periphery of the otherwise peaceful paintings of artist Salvador Dali. Vallenssia continues this surreal and yet seductive style and thus carries the artistic tradition forward..."
"...Offering a refreshed take on the classic portrait, Vallenssia breakes the bounds of the traditional female likeness. Losing herself within the parameters of abstract and the real, Vallenssia aims to blend these elements to create striking yet subtle portraits. Such is the balance struck in works such as Words Unspoken, Silent and Fearless, all of which are featured in this issue..."
I started drawing and painting in the early age.
I mostly do women portraits, however the abstract landscapes are also my theme.
I like to create certain mood in the painting and would like the observers to see it too. I like my paintings realistic with one step into the abstract. I like to mix realistic with surreal - portraits that have the synergy of facial expression and emerging emotions.
The thing that I love about the painting on canvas is that the painting is always changing, depending on the time of the day, on the sources of light and the room they are hanged in. Moving on to the acrylic was a natural direction for me.
All paintings are original artwork - one of a kind, with serial numbers. Even when you order a painting that has already been sold it can not be a duplicate, it will be similar to previous one.
In my work I use only high quality professional canvases and paints, as well as different types of media. Each painting is naturally dried and with a layer of high quality varnish for protection against sun, UV, moisture and dust.
Each painting will be made ready to hang, which means all you need to do is to find the best place for putting it on the wall.
I accept orders for custom paintings for my collectors and clients. Each painting will be unique and customized for those who love my work. You can choose the subject and overal colors, but within the scope of my work and personal style.
Painting will be shipped in a cardboard box with protective cover and additional bubble wrap, with care instructions and Letter of Authenticity.
Shipping is available worldwide. Please contact me before you make an order to receive exact shipping costs for your country.
